Rapinoe, the 2019 Women’s World Cup Golden Boot winner, once again proved her brilliance on the biggest stage. Her stunning goal in the 25th minute gave the U.S. the early lead. Morgan, who has been battling injuries, sealed the win with a header in the 84th minute.

The U.S. team will now shift their focus to the gold medal match against Australia. The Aussies, led by captain Sam Kerr, have emerged as a formidable force in women’s soccer and will pose a significant challenge for the Americans.
