CU Buffs Football Notes: LaJohntay Wester Scoring Touchdowns In Bunches

Wester’s Hot Streak

Wester, a true freshman from Fort Worth, Texas, has scored four touchdowns in the past three weeks, including a 75-yard scamper in the Buffs’ 38-13 win over California on Saturday. With his recent scoring outburst, Wester has moved into a tie for the team lead in rushing touchdowns with four.

“LaJohntay is a special talent,” said CU head coach Karl Dorrell. “He’s a physical runner with great vision and acceleration. We’re excited to see what he can do the rest of the season.”

Wester’s Importance to the Offense

Wester’s contributions have been crucial for the Buffs, who have struggled to generate offensive consistency this season. His ability to break off big plays and find the end zone has provided a much-needed spark for the team.

“It’s great to be able to contribute to the team’s success,” said Wester. “I just try to focus on reading my blocks and making the most of every opportunity.”

Wester’s Future Prospects

With his impressive performances, Wester has established himself as a key piece of the future for the Buffs football program. His combination of size, speed, and scoring ability has him on the radar of NFL scouts.

Dorrell believes that Wester has the potential to be a star at the next level. “LaJohntay has all the tools to be a successful running back in the NFL,” said Dorrell. “He’s a hard worker with a great attitude, and I’m excited to see what he can accomplish in the future.”
