Emmanuel Forbes Comes Up With The Commanders' Second INT Of Dalton

As the first half drew close, Forbes registered his first interception of the day. With the New Orleans Saints at the Commanders’ 31-yard line, Dalton targeted Michael Thomas in the end zone. However, Forbes leaped in front of Thomas, snatching the ball and returning it 24 yards.

In the third quarter, Forbes struck again. The Saints were driving down the field when Dalton’s pass intended for Taysom Hill floated too high. Forbes effortlessly intercepted the errant throw, halting the Saints’ progress at the Commanders’ 18-yard line.

Forbes’ interceptions proved pivotal in the Commanders’ eventual 23-16 victory. Not only did they prevent the Saints from scoring points, but they also gave the Commanders’ offense opportunities to respond.

“Emmanuel Forbes has been a game-changer for us,” said Commanders head coach Ron Rivera. “He’s a young player with a great future.”

Despite being intercepted twice, Dalton acknowledged Forbes’ talent. “He’s a heck of a player,” Dalton said. “He’s got great instincts and ball skills. You have to give him credit.”

Forbes’ standout performance serves as a testament to the Commanders’ improved defense this season. With Forbes leading the charge, the Commanders aim to continue making plays and securing victories in the competitive NFC East.
