Robert Saleh Returns to Lead 49ers Defense
The San Francisco 49ers have announced the return of Robert Saleh as their defensive coordinator. Saleh previously held the position from 2017-2020 and played a pivotal role in the team’s success during that time.
Before rejoining the 49ers, Saleh spent three seasons as head coach of the New York Jets. Under his leadership, several young players gained recognition for their exceptional performances. Braxton Berrios, Sauce Gardner, and Quinnen Williams earned Associated Press First-Team All-Pro honors, whileGardner, Jermaine Johnson II, and Williams made Pro Bowl appearances.

They placed third in passing yards allowed per game, fourth in total defense, and sixth in opponent yards per rush.
